Doing this allows multiple users to access the information at the same time. The solution is to store these sections on a SharePoint site or network file share. If the project organizer creates these training schedules and doesn't share them with the various department heads, nothing will ever get done. None of this information does any good in a vacuum. Storing training information in OneNote can enable multiple departments to share information. The training notes for the Customer Service Department are shown in Figure 2.11. The training section, for example, has a page for each department. There's a section for each component of the project: hardware, software, and training. Assigning the task to others allows even those who weren't in the meeting to receive a portion of the notes with the task.
Users can store information about entire projects in OneNote.Ĭreating Outlook tasks with reminders from OneNote ensures that you won't forget the various action items you received in the meeting. For example, in Figure 2.10, OneNote is used to store information about an upcoming software upgrade project. In addition to its use in meetings, OneNote can also be helpful for another business use project planning.
